Standards Alignment
Activities Aligned to State Standards
Standards being Taught with Parent Playbook Activities
| | One of the biggest concerns in schools today is whether or not what is being taught is aligned to the state adopted standards. Text books are only bought if they are aligned to standards. Tests are only given if they are aligned to standards. Grade cards reflect standards alignment. Why is all of this alignment so important?
If we can agree on what is being taught in each subject at each grade level, then what we ask of children's learning can be much easier to define, recognize, test, and grade. It makes it easier on the teachers and administrators at the school to know what is expected of them. If makes it easier for the parent to know what is expected of their child, and it makes it easier on the child to know what they are supposed to do.
Soooo...With that in mind Parent-Playbook Activities are aligned to the California State Adopted Standards, Arizona State Standards and Tennessee Standards. More states will be available in the future. Contact us if you are interested in being part of our expansion into your state.
Now with that knowledge in mind take a look at the activities on the Home Page that you may have already tried and enjoyed, and see how they match to State Standards. | |
